Work From Home Online - Accepting Credit Card Payments Online

For owners who work from home online, giving the customers options can be the key to winning a sale. Different payment methods give consumers options, although credit card payments are by far the most popular, due to their convenience. Sites which accept payment from credit cards show greater sales from impulsive purchases, as well as other add-ons.

Credit card transactions can be made to be accepted in two different ways by most ecommerce sites. The first is just by having a merchant account through the entrepreneur's bank and the second is to use a separate service to process all transactions.

Many banks will offer merchant accounts and processing gateways to their account bearers; the main disadvantage of which being that approval for merchant accounts is much more stringent for internet based businesses than it is for traditional retail.

PayPal and other third party services do away with the need for an account with the merchant. They also offer real time payment and fund transfer into the account of a business owner who works from home online for a small fee, which is usually a small flat rate plus a percentage of each transaction's sale.

Due to this, Paypal provides an excellent service that allows you to take credit cards, and it also provides a shopping cart that sites owners can install on their site, it also provides currency conversion in real time, and it is capable of taking payments in the forms of electronic debits or echecks.

It is best for the start-up or small business owner to hire the services of PayPal or any other such options available for credit card transactions. With such services available you need not have your merchant account. They charge you some minimal fees and then you can take payment through credit cards from your customers.

Before You Start Your Blog - 5 Things To Consider

If you are going to start a blog there are some things that you need to consider before you take the plunge.

1.) Make sure your blog is set up on the right hosting service. - By this I mean, should you be using a free blogging services like WordPress.com and Blogger.com or should you be setting up a blog on your own domain.

If you are planning on using your blog to promote an existing business or if you are planning to use it in any way to make money I recommend that you set up your blog on your own site. If you are just using a blog to tell your friends what is going on or to let out your personal rants with no plans to make money with it you should be fine on the free services.

Having your own domain name and your own site makes it so that you can add features like plugins that will optimize your site for better performance in the search engines which should bring more targeted prospects to your site.

2.) Choose the right blogging software - There are a number of different software programs you can use to create a blog such as Joomla, TypePad, Concrete and WordPress. I recommend WordPress because it is the most highly supported when it comes to plugins, themes and even support. There are a number of sites that will help you with your WordPress blog besides the support that you will find at WordPress.org.

3.) Only blog about one topic - stay on target with your blog. Yes, you can have all kinds of sub-topics but they should all be related to your main niche.

If you keep your blog in one niche the likelihood of getting readers to come back time and time again is greatly improved. This brands you as an expert in your niche and builds loyalty with your prospective customers.

Speaking of niches, your niche should be something that you have an affinity for. You don't have to be the expert but you need to like the niche enough that you are willing to put in the work and it helps if you do know enough to know if the post you are entering is good information or bad information.

4.) Use keywords that get searched - a lot of the traffic you get to your blog comes from keywords that are searched in the search engines. Do a little research and see if the keywords you are targeting actually get searched.

Google's keyword tool is a free service where you can see exactly how many people are searching for your keywords on Google every month. This is a great place to start your keyword research.

5.) Make your blog personal - most people don't like to listen to the anonymous stranger that is trying to give them advice. The much prefer to be able to build a relationship with the person (even if only in their own minds) and feel that they know the person giving the advice. You can do this by writing the articles in your own voice or even just putting a picture of yourself on your blog.

These steps will get you started with blogging, review them before you start your blog or if you already have a blog going see if they apply to your blog. They are the backbone of almost all successful blogs.

Make Money From Home - How To Sell With Article Marketing

Believe it or not no one will click on your site-link or affiliate link unless you fulfill all of the goals of an article. Make sure you achieve each goal in every article you write.

To make money from home with article marketing you need to achieve seven main goals to get people to click on your affiliate or website link. First people need to click on your link, then they need to buy from you. This article will outline each of the goals. Subsequent artilces will give you more details.

1. Attract The Reader's Attention.

There are two aspects to gaining attention of your potential customers. First the subject of your article needs to be so interesting that they can't help but read further. Second, the headline and the first couple of sentences need to quickly and clearly communicate what your subject is.

2. Make Sure Your Prospect Reads The Wole Article.

Once you've got your prospect's attention you need to keep it by saying something new. You need to say something that they didn't know before or say it in a way that they hadn't seen before. You need to give people a valid reason to keep reading or they will just move on without finishing. This is known as the "news value" of an article.

3. Have Them Respect You By The Time They Finish The Article.

Make sure that whatever you say in the article sounds credible. Many times you will find yourself in a situation where you will need to explain a few things before the reader can agree with you. Take it slow. Don't just blurt out a statement they will disagree with or they won't finish the article. Make each sentence solid and believeable. Slowly build up credible arguments so your reader comes to a logical conclusion that they wouldn't have accepted in the beginning.

4. Have Your Reader Feel Like You Understand Them By The Time They Finish Your Article.

If you expect to sell anything you first need to have a rapport with your prospect. Every salesman learns this as a first principle in his training but all the courses on article marketing ignore it completely. In his course on copywriting, Joe Vitale calls it "maintaining their trance". Robert Collier calls it "staying in step with the conversation going on in their mind" in his Letter Book.

5. Make It Really Worthwhile For Them To Have Read The Article.

Reward your prospect for taking the time to read your article. If the reader learns something valuable they will repay you by following your suggestion to click on the recommended affiliate link. The more real value you provide the more responsive your customer will be.

6. Orient The Reader To Want To Buy The Product You Will Ultimately Recommend.

This is the basis of all successful selling through articles. It's known as pre-selling. You shouldn't be selling directly in your article but you should provide insightful information to help them appreciate the features in the product you will be selling.

7. Provide Motivation To Click On The Link In The Resource Box.

If you have done the previous six steps properly all you have to do here is to show them where they can get more information to solve their problem. You always have to ask people to take action. If you don't specifically ask people to do something, most of the time they will not click on your link.

Writing profitable articles to make money from home is a matter of getting people to click on your link when they are pre-disposed to making a purchase. When your articles achieve all of the goals presented here it is more of a science than an art. Just follow the steps and you will be amazed at the results.

Working From Home Online - What's Needed

Several years ago when I first started working from home online all I thought was to get a website and the money would start rolling in. Boy was I wrong. Most people new to working online I believe, believe this to be true. We go from program to program hoping to become internet millionaires. Eventually reality sets in. To be successful requires time patience and hard work.

If you want to profit working from home online, you I need a product that's in demand and lots of traffic. You can have the product that everyone is searching for but without traffic your website will never be found.

If I could tell people just one thing about working on the internet it would be to learn how to drive targeted traffic to your site at the lowest cost possible and the rest will all come. The more targeted traffic, the more sales you will generate.

Three of the most common ways to generate targeted traffic to your website are:

1. PPC or Pay-Per-Click: which is used on search engines, advertising networks, and content sites, in which advertisers pay only when their ad is clicked.

2. Seo optimization: where You must optimize your site using certain keywords for organic search engine traffic.

3. Writing keywork articles: article marketing is one of the
most effective ways to get targeted visitors to your site.

Remember, if you want to make money working from home online. learn how to drive targeted traffic to your site at the lowest cost possible. Without traffic, nothing you do will make your online business a success.

5 Steps To Make Money On The Internet

If you have gone to college, you know how expensive and time consuming that is. It will cost you thousands of dollars to get a degree and start making money. Making money online is much simpler, when you view it in this context. Here are five easy steps you can follow to make money on the Internet.

1. You need the basic tools and this consists of a decent computer with high speed Internet. You should purchase a plan that offers the fastest speed if you live in an area where dial up Internet is all that's available.

The reason for this is you will be spending a lot of time on the Internet trying to make money. If you are wasting your time on pages that load slow it is going to cost your pocketbook in the long run, in essence time is money.

2. It will greatly benefit your business if you choose quality products to sell. Becoming an affiliate marketer is one of the easiest ways to get started, but you need to carefully choose the products that you promote.

One way to only represent quality products is to purchase a product and learn about it before you try to sell it. Before you send your visitors through to your affiliate website this gives you the opportunity to write reviews, and to pre-sell the product.

3. To write a review about a product, or create a pre-sell page, you will need a website or blog of your own. This is not hard to set up, but if you choose not to do it you can hire someone to build it for you.

Outsourcing things that you do not know how to do is quick ways to jump start your business. Plus there are excellent people available online all around the world that will work for a fair market price.

4. A reliable autoresponder is another important tool that you must have. You will need to automate as many of the daily functions as possible so an autoresponder is an important part of your business.

By setting up an auto responder with pre-programmed messages, you can quickly build a list and keep in touch with your subscribers. When making money online this is an excellent long-term strategy.

5. If you do not drive traffic to your website or blog you will not make money on the internet. To generate traffic learn how to blog and social bookmark. You must also learn how to incorporate search engine optimization into your advertising to drive traffic to your website.
