Amazon Kindle DX – An Overview
Some time ago I ran across an article talking about the Amazon Kindle DX. Since I had never hear of a Kindle DX I thought I would check into it. I found out that it was a item by Amazon that was basically used for reading. So After reading some of the reviews I thought that I would look for further information. I was basically looking for people who had actully purchased the Kindle or the newer Kindle DX. Again basically the reviews for this product, and there are many, have been very positive with many customers stating that they can’t live without their Kinkles. Some of the Features of the Kindle XS High Contrast E-Ink Screen: The Kindle DX uses the all new, improved electronic ink display, with 50% better contrast for the clearer text and sharper images. You can read in any light condition. The Kindle DX is larger than the original Kindle 2 and has more features including a larger screen at 9.7″. The display dominates the front panel and is also sharper and crisper than Kindle 2 The text to speech capability works with most books nd documents. I don’t believe that just reading about the Kindle does it true justice. You have to try one for your-self to get the true capabilities of this device. Screen rotation also works as advertised. It operates as a mild zoom on both graphics and text. One nice design touch: the four-way navigation stick introduced on the Kindle 2 is rotation-sensitive, and will move as expected relative to the screen rotation. Overall, the pluses outweigh the minuses for me, Since I use reading glasses, I now have no need for them. I’m satisfied with my purchase. I can now think of using my DX for work documents on a regular basis, because of the PDF reader. I know that the screen size and screen rotation will make the overall reading experience more pleasant. Amazon really made a brilliant move with the Kindle DX. It is clear that they have really thought through the little things this time around and even from what I understand the Amazon Kindle DX is a substantial improvement over the Kindle 2.
